1. Eligibility and Account Creation

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are 13 or older and that all information you provide is accurate and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at info@inforzone.com.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service to send spam, phishing emails, or any unsolicited bulk communications.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account.
• Use the Service in a way that infringes the rights of others, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond what is provided through our official features.
• Use the Service to engage in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AssistOwl uses AI (powered by UK and EU AI hosting providers) to generate email drafts, summaries, task suggestions, and other content. This content is provided for informational and productivity purposes only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before sending or acting on it. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose. You should not rely on AI-generated content for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

4. Third-Party Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Google (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), Microsoft (Outlook, Office 365, Hotmail), UK and EU AI hosting providers, and Stripe, Inc. (payment processing). Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those platforms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services. Connecting your accounts is voluntary; you may disconnect integrations at any time.

5. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable and available Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time that could temporarily affect availability. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, software, and trademarks in the Service are owned by or licensed to AssistOwl and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data and content you bring to the Service (such as your emails and calendar events). You grant us a limited licence to access and process your data solely to provide the Service to you.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Billing and Subscriptions

Certain features of the Service are available only under a paid subscription plan. By selecting a paid plan, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method through our payment processor, Stripe, at the start of each billing period.

• When charges occur. Your subscription fee is charged at the beginning of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on the plan you selected). All prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable taxes where required by law.
• Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will send a reminder email before any annual renewal.
• Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at info@inforzone.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until that date and will not be charged for the next period.
• Refunds and proration. Payments are generally non-refundable. If you upgrade your plan mid-period, the price difference is prorated and charged immediately. If you downgrade, the credit is applied to future billing periods rather than refunded. We may grant refunds at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances; please contact us within 14 days of a charge if you believe an error has occurred.
• Price changes. We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will attempt to re-process it and notify you by email. If payment remains outstanding after reasonable attempts, we may suspend or downgrade your account to the free tier until payment is resolved.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AssistOwl and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, engage in conduct harmful to other users, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes your agreement to the new Terms.
